The cost to register is $25, this is a very great deal as you are getting $100 in gear and usually this conference costs $900 to attend for one day! There are lots of steps so stay focused! SOLAR ENERGY WORKSHOP for EDUCATORS Solar Power International Conference September 26th / 8-4PM Salt Lake City Convention Center
In partnership with Solar Power International, KidWind is holding a solar energy workshop for educators at SPI's international conference being held in Salt Lake City, UT on September 26th as part of North America Smart Energy Week.
As this training will be held at SPI National Conference, all attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the trade show floor and see the solar industry in action and explore future careers in the evolving solar landscape.
Solar is one of the fastest growing energy resources in the world! This educator focused workshop will explore the science and technology around solar energy and standards-connected classroom activities to bring solar powered activities to your classroom.
This workshop will utilize a wide array of curricula and tools from Vernier, Solar Schoolhouse, NEED Project, REcharge Labs and other parties to introduce you to a variety of engaging and affordable activities.
What can you expect?
Breakfast and Lunch are provided
Materials are geared towards 3rd- 12th grade educators
Teachers do not need any prior knowledge of solar energy. They will learn about how solar power works and how to implement activities in their classroom.
Preservice teachers are also invited.
All attendees will be provided with a basic set of materials for their classroom.
Resources to take back to your classroom (valued at $100).
